Expansion Recommendation

Based on your analyses above and given the test data, working company, and industry type, where do you think your working company should expand to (domestic or international)? Why or why not? Your recommendation may not change the executive decision, but you should take your stand and argue your case

Beam On must expand in order to achieve long term financial strength and to satisfy investor demands for market diversity. In order to do so, Beam On cannot focus on a domestic or international approach but instead must focus on a domestic and international approach.

Beam On’s unique infrastructure allows for rapid expansion into new markets with very little capital requirements compared to traditional organizations with similar products. This allows Beam On to focus expansion efforts across multiple territories will little increased costs. Beam On must focus their growth in the United States and India. Growth should be split with a 60% | 40% financial investment spread with 60% focused on US expansion and 40% focused on expansion into India. With current market data, 41.7% of US customers and 29.2% of India-based customers within Beam On’s target customer range are willing to switch or try Beam On’s service. These numbers show the potential for dramatic growth in both markets as current market share continues to stay around 2% in the US and initial launch in India has not matured into a country-wide product.

Beam On cannot limit itself to a single market as it expands. Beam On must spread, gain market diversity, and build excitement on multiple continents. Beam On’s mission cannot stop within one part of the world because their product is out of this world and the capabilities of the system are only set to grow as additional satellite coverage is launched and eventually blankets the world in affordable, high speed internet connections available everywhere.
